Retro Nostalgic Candy Memories
Brandy G. of Wyoming, MI reminisces: "I remember as I young kid my 6 brothers and I went to the Saturday movies at the neighborhood theater. We only had limited money left to buy treats. It was either buy popcorn or candy. I always bought candy that would last the longest. It was a hard choice looking at all the candy behind the glass display. Good and Plenty were number one along with candy necklaces, Indian pumpkin seeds in the little red box, and the red licorice rolled up and a little jawbreaker in the middle, black jacks, Mary Jane's and of course the big chocolate drops that I always saved one to bring home for my Dad. I would get my little bag of candy and be in 7th heaven watching the movies. They always showed 2 movies.
"For my sister's 50th birthday, one of the gifts I gave her was the Retro Candy gift basket. Having the family around and looking at all the candies we hadn't seen in a while, memories and stories were shared. It was fun and delicious and although the candy is now gone, we will cherish the shared memories." - Elaine G., Scarborough, ME
