Retro Candy Memories - Razzles
Kelie B., of Clinton, MS remembers Razzles: "I LOVED Razzles when I was a kid!(and still do when I can find them!)
I remember when I was about 8 years old, my cousin and I were spending the weekend at our grandparents house. My grandpa sold and delivered fresh eggs to small town grocery stores and came home with a pack of Razzles and a pack of Bottle Caps for us.
My cousin ate her Bottle Caps first as I savored the candy/gum combo of my childhood addiction. (Razzles to those who never had them.) Well my cousin got called to take her bath and I got the bright idea to cut the top of her Razzle pack open, pour them out, exchange them with my Bottle Caps and Elmers glue the pouch back. Just as I was about to glue the pouch, I heard a slight grunt behind me. To my surprise, my grandpa had been watching me the whole time. Not only did I have to give the Razzles back, I had to go pick a switch off the switch bush (it's a southern thing)and pay for my underhanded 8 year old moves!...but the 3 Razzles I managed to stick in my mouth of hers was worth it!"
"I really loved Razzles. During my high school years at the end of the day candy would be on sale. I always bought
Razzles and loved the orange flavor the most. Great memories - Great Candy." - Sara K., Cynthiana, KY
