Horehound Candies
1. Pour 8 cups of boiling water over 1 -1/2 quarts of loosely packed horehound leaves and stems.
2. Steep in a covered pot for 30 minutes.
3. Drain and discard the leaves.

7. Wrap each piece to keep from getting sticky.

- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
