Old Fashioned Butterscotch Candy
Put these ingredients in a heavy pan. Make sure it's large enough to allow the mixture to foam.
2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup butter
2 Tablespoons water
2 Tablespoons vinegar
1. Stir ingredients over high heat until the sugar is dissolved. Stir frequently, until it reaches the hard crack stage, or 300 degrees.
2. Drop the candy from a tablespoon onto a buttered pan to form bite size pieces.
3. Wrap each piece of butterscotch candy to keep it from getting sticky.
