Atomic Fireballs Candy
Atomic Fireballs Candy come individually wrapped in a one pound bag. There are approximately 49 pieces per pound. Fireballs are made by Ferrara Pan Candy, and they still taste spicy like they did when you were a kid! They are a type of round jawbreaker with a red coating on the outside, and white on the inside.
According to the manufacturer, approximately 15 million Atomic Fireballs are eaten a week. Now that's a lot of "spicy" candy!
Did you know that the burning sensation you experience while eating a fireball is caused by capsaicin, an ingredient found in chili peppers?!
Atomic Fireballs - Candy Memories
"I remember buying atomic fireballs at farrells ice cream! If my mom gave me a dime that is." - Joanne S., San Diego, CA
"Well I'm only in my late 20's but I grew up with all the old candy my parents ate when they were younger. Now I hunt out classic candies and make my parents gift baskets of their favorite candies! They especially love Atomic Fireballs and Candy Cigarettes." - Barbara P., Arcadia, OK
"Growing up, we had an old fashioned corner store a few blocks away called the Cobblestone. My friends and I would make a trip there every couple of days on our bikes, usually with a quarter each, to get a bag full of penny candy-candy lipsticks, blackjacks, squirrels, candy cigarettes, candy bracelets, atomic fireballs, bazooka bubble gum, maryjanes, slo- pokes...what a great memory-and I'm always reminded when I look at the mouth full of fillings I have-matter of fact I remember losing a filling in a slo-poke when I bit down on it back then!! :)" - Suzanne D., Grand Blanc, MI
"I would love going camping with my parents and getting a bag full of candy for a dollar. Penny candy...big atomic fireballs, taffy, and licorice!!! Been too long." - Andrew C., Port Crane, NY
Katie M. of Tampa, FL writes: "I remember when I was six years old and walked to the corner store with my friend Steven. It was the first time I ever went anywhere without my parents. Seeing those little red candy fireballs for the first time made me perplexed with curiosity. I was scared, so I made Steven try one before I would fork over the cash for one of my own. His face turned bright red but he was still smiling. He then insisted I tried one and purchased two for me. Steven and I are now happily married. We still enjoy atomic fireballs candy on a weekly basis, during our trips to the dog park."
